in 6 simple steps

1.

Section geometry

Choose between a selection of roof pitches to build your desired architecture typology. Skylights can be added in various arrangements for the optimal daylit interiors.

2.

Uuthuuske Length

Floor area depends on the needs of the residents. The Uuthuuske building system allows for the floor plan to be extended in sections of 1.2m. Build small or build large!

3.

interior spaces

The building system also allows for a range of floor plan layouts. This can be influenced by the site, orientation, and needs of the residents. We are able to make many floor plan variations to build any desired interior layout!

4.

Facade Materials

We have a range of facade materials to choose from – depending on cost, aesthetic, durability, and climate needs. Talk with our architects to learn about the benefits of each system and see which would bet suit you.

5.

Energy Neutrality

Our sloped roofs are perfect for PV panels! Make your house energy neutral from the start with pre-installed PV panels.

6.

bathroom and kitchen finishes

Our building system includes a pre-fabricated bathroom and kitchen unit. And here we offer a selection of finishes too. Choose between a variety of materials to design an interior that best suits your home vision.

The Customer Journey

The customer journey begins with the discovery of specific spatial, functional and aesthetic requirements in cooperation with our architects. Through digital configuration, it is possible to visualise the specific solution directly in this process. End users can also be involved in this design process through an online configurator. Choice packages have been compiled for sanitary facilities and kitchen appliances, for example.

The anchoring of the Uuthuuskes in the environment can be strengthened during the design process by using drone shots of the situation.

INTEGRATION

TNM’s team consists of a mix of architects, structural engineers, software specialists and professionals with a passion for computer-controlled building. Our architects know exactly what the (im)possibilities of the TNM building systems are, and can immediately switch with colleagues in the development and implementation. This enables far-reaching integration of design, engineering and production. A level of integration that is self-evident in the production of a car or telephone, but is still rare in housing construction.

An example of this far-reaching integration can be found in installation technology: recesses, penetrations and bracket/fastener holes are already provided for in engineering and production. The course of pipes and installation elements are engraved on the panels: the construction drawing becomes an (invisible) part of the house. No complicated coordination between different disciplines is necessary: it is already part of the product.

CUSTOM-MADE

Uuthuuskes are synonymous with expression and personality. The building system of TheNewMakers, which is also used in the Uuthuuskes, makes customisation possible with the advantages of industrialisation. Despite product-based thinking, digital production and modularity allow for extensive customisation. A complete project is built from LEGO bricks that are remountable. In the Uuthuuskes we work with different types of cross-sections on a grid of 1.2 metres. Because of this small grain a large architectural design freedom is achieved.

MATERIALISATION

The Uuthuuskes basically consist entirely of natural materials, largely based on wood. On the inside, refined boards are used: different appearances are possible and this ensures a low-maintenance finish. On the outside, various wall finishes are possible. For example, wood from European forests can be chosen, which will have the same life span as hardwood through thermal preservation. Alternatively, aluminium recyclable panels guarantee a completely low-maintenance façade with a 30-year colour guarantee. Behind the façade, wood fibre insulation is used. All wood used for the Uuthuuskes is certified and comes from European responsibly managed forests.
